Seidu Ali, a 24-year-old Nigerien, has been taken into custody by the Lagos State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad on suspicion of stealing electrical wires.
On Wednesday, the suspect was reportedly taken into custody on the Third Mainland Bridge.
The Lagos State Police Command made this known on its X account on Thursday.
“A suspected cable thief was arrested and four bounded strands of cables were retrieved from him by Rapid Response Squad operatives on routine patrol of Third Mainland Bridge yesterday afternoon,” the tweet stated.
