The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested over 580 suspects for various crimes, rescued at least 30 kidnapped victims, and recovered stolen property and illegal weapons across the state.
Commissioner of Police Muhammad Rabiu announced these achievements during a press briefing at the command’s headquarters in Kaduna this Tuesday.
He said the operations took place between December 31, 2024, and January 2025. Rabiu attributed the successes to the combined efforts of security agencies, community collaboration, and intelligence-driven operations.
Rabiu mentioned that notorious kidnappers’ informants, two motorcycle snatchers, and a receiver of stolen goods were arrested as well.
He said the police recovered 16 motorcycles, three tricycles, 10 stolen vehicles, and multiple firearms, including AK-47 rifles and a submachine gun. Additionally, 52 rustled cows and 20 bags of suspected illicit drugs were seized.
Rabiu warned criminals that Kaduna is no longer a safe haven for crime and urged residents to remain law-abiding while supporting the police with credible information.
He also expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and Governor Uba Sani for their support.
