Tragic Incident in Adamawa: Father Arrested for Killing Two-Year-Old Daughter
In a shocking turn of events, the Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended a father of six, Ayuba Danbaki, on suspicion of murdering his two-year-old daughter.
According to reports, the incident occurred after the child’s mother, Shiyona Ali, dropped her off with Danbaki at a local drinking joint one evening. Ali explained to authorities that she had reached her limit in single-handedly caring for the child.
Police sources reveal that the suspect allegedly strangled his daughter with a rope and subsequently buried her in a shallow grave. Danbaki, during his confession at the police station, cited the influence of alcohol and his wife’s behavior as contributing factors to his actions.
“I killed my daughter because I became angry when her mother left her with me at a local joint. I used a rope to tie her neck, dug a grave, and buried her,” Danbaki stated.
He claimed to be married and angry at his wife’s actions. He also warned people not to drink ‘burukutu.”
“It makes someone become useless. In fact, a drunk man sometimes defecates in his trousers, vomits, or falls on the ground. It makes you do something and later regret it,” Danbaki added.
Today, the State Police spokesperson confirmed the incident and the Commissioner of Police ordered the case to be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department for more investigation..
