Lukman Shonubi, alias Tinny, a suspected cultist, admitted to killing six people after being tracked down and apprehended by Ogun State Police Command officers.
Long before his arrest, the suspect, who is reported to be a leader of the Eiye Confraternity, was being investigated by authorities.
Tinny was apprehended after the state command received information from the state’s So Safe Corps that the suspect the command was looking for was making a disturbance at an event to distract and rob the unsuspecting victims.
Odutola stated that the suspect was apprehended at the event and admitted to murdering six persons and snatching purses, phones, an Automated Teller Machine card, a power bank, and around N300,000 in cash.
“So Safe Corps shared intelligence with the police that the most wanted notorious criminal, Lukman Shonubi, aka Tinny, which the police have been tracking, was spotted at a function fomenting trouble to distract his victims, then dispossess them of their valuables,” a police spokeswoman said. This time, the cops were faster than him, coming just in time to gather him up, arrest him further, and take him away from the event.
