Veteran Journalist’s Murdered Body Found In Zamfara’s Soakaway

Hamisu Danjibga was a Voice of Nigeria journalist who was assassinated in Zamfara State. He was slain by unidentified assailants.

In the Samaru District of the Gusau city, his body was discovered in a soakaway behind his home. Three days ago, the person who died was reported missing.

His eldest son allegedly received a text message from unidentified individuals demanding a one million Naira ransom by Friday or else he will be turned up to other criminals.

According to reports, several Islamiya students who were walking past the house noticed the strong odor and told their professors, who then informed the neighbors, who hurried to open the soakaway where the experienced journalist’s rotting body was discovered.

He was afterwards buried.

In response to the event, the Hamisu Danjibga journalist’s death has been called for by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zamfara State Council.
