Dog chases man to death in Kwara

Tragic Death in Kwara State as Man Dies While Fleeing from Dog

Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, was struck by tragedy when Mohammed Faworaja lost his life in a fatal incident involving a dog. The unfortunate event took place in the Warah-Osin area near Asa Dam, located in the Ilorin West Local Government Area.

According to an anonymous source, Faworaja was being pursued by a German shepherd that had escaped its confinement. In his attempt to escape the dog’s clutches, Faworaja collided with an electric pole, leading to internal bleeding and his untimely demise. At the scene of the incident, a can of sardines, which Faworaja had gone to purchase, was found next to the pole.

Described as a friendly individual, Faworaja was believed to be no older than 33 years and served as the primary provider for his family. His sudden death has left his loved ones devastated.

The local authorities have taken the dog’s owner into custody, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway, according to SP Ajayi Okasanmi, Kwara State’s Police Public Relations Officer.
