Hamas has rejected a proposal by United States President Donald Trump to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan.
In a statement released on Monday, Hamas said the proposal is an aggressive scheme that disregards the historical and national rights of Palestinians.
The group described the plan as an attempt to weaken the Palestinian cause and displace its people.
Hamas stressed that Palestinians will remain resolute in their commitment to their homeland.
The group called on the US to end its support for Israeli policies, saying the policies violate Palestinian rights.
Hamas appealed for the assistance of Egypt and Jordan in rebuilding Gaza and supporting Palestinians’ right to remain on their land.
Also, the group urged the Arab and Islamic nations to resist the relocation proposal.
