Inspector-General of Police Promotes ‘Rescue Me App’ for Nigerians During Emergencies

Acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, is urging Nigerians to download and use the “NPF Rescue Me App” in a bid to enhance emergency response. In a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the mobile application offers citizens a convenient platform to swiftly alert the Police Force during urgent situations. Egbetokun emphasizes that this initiative aligns with the Nigeria Police Force’s objective of fostering stronger community engagement. The statement highlights that the “NPF Rescue Me App” is readily available for free download on both android and iOS application stores. Egbetokun made these remarks on the sidelines of his visit to the National Command and Control Centre (C4i) and the Nigeria Police Crime and Incidence Database Centre (NPCIDC) at Force Headquarters in Abuja’s Louis Edet House. This visit aimed to showcase the acting IGPs dedication to incorporating intelligent policing practices within the Nigeria Police Force. Egbetokun stressed the force’s commitment to embracing advanced technologies and urged officers to make full use of these tools to enhance their operations and service delivery to the public.
