Nigerian Army Rescues 30 Abductees in Kebbi State

In a commendable display of bravery and determination, the Nigerian Army has successfully rescued 30 individuals who were abducted by terrorists in the Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The chairman of the local government council, Hussaini Bena, shared this significant development with reporters in Birnin Kebbi on Sunday.

Bena revealed that 24 of those who were kidnapped were released on Friday, with the remaining six regaining their freedom on Saturday. The release of outstanding allowances to the security agencies by Governor Nasir Idris played a crucial role in boosting the morale of the personnel, leading to this exceptional success.

The chairman expressed gratitude towards the state government for their unwavering and substantial support to the security agencies in their mission to restore peace in the state. He also commended the Brigade Commander in charge of Kebbi State, as the resilience of his officers and men greatly contributed to the successful rescue operation, which saw the release of 30 people within just two days.

According to Bena, the abductees came from various locations, including Kotangora in Niger State, as well as Danmari, Kaba, and Kajiji in Sokoto and Zamfara states. Additionally, some of the rescued individuals were from Bena in Kebbi State.

The Nigerian Army’s swift response and successful rescue operation in Kebbi State is a testament to their commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
