A passenger has been arrested and blacklisted by Air Peace after being caught with stolen items on a flight from Lagos to Port Harcourt.
The airline’s head of corporate communications, Ejike Ndiulo, made it known in a statement this Thursday, saying that the suspect was found in possession of the missing belongings after a search upon arrival at Port Harcourt International Airport.
The passenger was immediately handed over to airport police for further investigation.
Air Peace expressed concern over the rising trend of in-flight thefts and announced new measures to curb the issue.
Cabin crew members have been instructed to increase vigilance, and in-flight announcements will be enhanced to educate passengers on securing their belongings and reporting suspicious activities.
The airline also reinforced its zero-tolerance policy for misconduct by recommending the blacklisting of the suspect.
Ndiulo assured the public of Air Peace’s commitment to passenger safety and urged travelers to cooperate with security protocols to ensure a secure and enjoyable journey.
