Tani Olohun, an activist for the ‘Isese’ religion, had her bail application adjourned by the Kwara court.

Tani Olohun, an activist for the ‘Isese’ religion, had her bail application adjourned by the Kwara court.

On Wednesday, Kwara State Upper Area Court in Ilorin adjourned the ruling on the bail application filed by Adegbola Abdulazeez, an Isese (indigenous religion) practitioner and activist, also known as Tani Olohun.

The hearing was adjourned to September 25, 2023.

This comes about 24 hours after a Chief Magistrate Court in the state refused Tani Olohun’s bail application in another matter.

SaharaReporters gathered that the Upper Area granted bail to the second defendant, Baba Oluwo Tede, but ordered Tani Oluhun to remain in prison until the next adjourned date.

Adedamola Solesi, one of Tani Olohun’s lawyers, told SaharaReporters after the proceeding that what happened in Upper Area Court on Wednesday substantiated his claim that there was a deliberate attempt to keep his client in detention
