The Military junta in the Niger Republic says it is set to prosecute ousted President Mohamad Bazoum for what it tagged “High Treason and undermining of National Security”.
This was announced on state television late on Sunday by the military council spokesperson, Colonel Major Amadou Abdramane, and comes a day after saying it will now embrace dialogue with ECOWAS
The junta said it has compiled evidence against the detained president, which includes contacts with leaders of foreign nations as facts to nail Bazoum.
