The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps caught 13 suspected railway vandals who had stolen long rails and sleepers worth 800 million naira..
The suspects were apprehended by the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad, according to a statement signed by Corps spokesperson Babawale Afolabi.
On Tuesday, the suspects were displayed, with five vehicles carrying substantial quantities of vandalized rails and sleepers at the NSCDC Headquarters in Abuja.
Afolabi reports that the arrests happened in different parts of Kaduna State – Manchock, Zonkwa, and Kaffanchan areas..
The authorities have taken 13 suspects and five trucks into custody for profiling and further investigation.. 13 suspects are still being questioned by authorities and additional accomplices will be charged in court.”
Afolabi further stated that upon arrest, I gave the CGs SIS operatives a bribe of 30 million naira, which they rejected.
